The largest school board in Canada, the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), has chosen Austin Air to help in the fight against Covid-19.

After reviewing hundreds of air purifiers, the TDSB chose to deploy thousands of Austin Air HealthMate Air Purifiers to schools across the Ontario area.

Schools need the highest grade air filtration

Last week, the province issued a back-to-school plan, calling for the highest-grade air filtration possible as the first line of defense to reduce the viral load. Which is why, as the new school term approaches, Austin Air units will be placed in classrooms across Ontario, to keep the air clean and ensure students and teachers are safe

Austin Air helps keep children safe!

Children under 12 are not yet vaccinated, so the need for clean air in the classroom is vital if they are to go back to school safely. The TDSB is using Austin Air Purifiers as part of a multi-pronged approach to keep children safe. Alongside our units, schools are installing new filters in their existing HVAC systems, keeping windows open and opting for outdoor learning when they can.

Schools choose Austin for superior protection even on lowest setting

Schools in Ontario selected our units as they are designed for large spaces and will offer superior filtration, even on the lowest setting. This allows teachers to run the units on high at the beginning and end of the day, to give classrooms a real boost, then turn down, to run quietly when students are in class.

How our air purifiers work

Unlike other brands, Austin Air uses a 360-degree intake system. Drawing air into all sides of the filter like this ensures maximum cleaning capacity. Contaminants are captured using the most proven, powerful filtration available, Medical Grade Certified HEPA Material and activated carbon. The Medical Grade Certified HEPA Material filter removes 99.97% of all particles as small as 0.3 microns and 99% of particles 0.1 microns, including viruses and bacteria.

The TDSB also recognizes the importance of using 15 pounds of carbon for the absorption of endotoxins, a well-known exacerbator of respiratory problems.

Austin Air, the right choice for schools and public spaces

We are the only air purifier with a 5-year filter life. We are also the only air purifier constructed using solid steel and a non-toxic powder coated paint. This durable build and unrivaled filter life make Austin Air Purifiers the ideal choice for schools and public spaces.
